This book is about two mischevious children, Harold and George who are harrasted by thier Princible. They want to find a way to get out of trouble. Later in the story, Harold and George buy a hypno ring, which allows the children to hypnotise any person.

They then hypnotise Principle Krup to be one thier comic book charaters. Principle Krup then turns into captain underpants. Captain Underpants (Principle Krup) goes to save the day againist Dr Diaper who plans to destroy the moon and destroy all the major citys.
