Speed Of Dark- Elizabeth Moon

Have you ever heard of the Speed Of Light?

Sure you have.

Have you ever heard of the Speed Of Dark?

No you haven't.

It's an interesting story of a group of people who do odd jobs like Lou, looking for a code of a computer then decode it. They're not 'normal' people but they're trying to fit in. The story talks about days of life of these people in the eyes of Lou like what their favourite seat in a pizza place, who is their favourite watier. The story also reveal some of the things we thought was weird like looking at a Neon Falsh at a shop and choosing your favourite colour. You have to see it to know The Speed Of Dark

Twilight Sucks! Continued

Months ago, a blog named 'Twilight Sucks!' was published which received a large amount of criticism although i believe that that certain blog was very true! This, sad series of books have taken the female population by storm. It does not deserve that popular ranking. Twilight is simply fiction and always will be, now there are books posted about it and i believe that it is simply stupid. They always come out and most of all, most girls only like the movies because of some guy called.. well i cant say his name but i will call him 'blegh' for now. Blegh is only a human being and shouldn't be the reason of a book's popularity level. Books should be judges simply for it's content. Blegh is well... blegh. All you people who are in LOVE with twilight.... ream me lips... TWILIGHT SUCKS.. DEAL WITH IT!

Drums, girls, and dangerous pie by Jordan Sonnenblick

13 year old Steven has a normal life. He plays drums in the All-Star Jazz Band, has a crush on the hottest girl in the year, and gets constantly annoyed by his 5 year old brother, Jeffery.
Having Jeffery as a brother is a pain. Actually, more than a pain. Its an unrelenting nightmare. Its not because Jeffery is way cuter than Steven, although that's part of it. Jeffery has perfect white teeth, 20-20 vision, and little blond ringlets you see in cathedrals, when Steven is the complete opposite. Steven has mouse-brown cowlick-y hair, glasses that are about an inch thick, and braces that look like he tried to swallow a train wreck. Steven wonders if anyone actually likes him. The reason why Steven hates Jeff so much is because he WORSHIPS him.
However, Steven's life changes dramatically. After a major nosebleed, his family is told by the doctor that Jeffery has leukemia, a bone cancer. His mom quits her job as a teacher to take care of Jeffery. Its not going to work out well with a silent, non-speaking dad, a worried mom, a crazy teenager, an angel and bankruptcy. Steven is forced to deal with his brother's illness, his parents' attempts to keep the family in one piece, the band, overdue homework, school-counseling, girls, and of course, dangerous pie. (you have to read the book to know what it is!!) What will happen to Steven and his family?

To Love, Honour and Betray

This is a book by Kathy Lette and is my new all-time favourite book. The story follows Lucy, an English mother abroad in Australia with her husband, Jasper. A happy story- until Jasper leaves her for her interior-decorator best friend Renee.

The story revolves around how Lucy copes with the man she loves leaving her, two rebelling daughters, various financial and legal issues, a snake of a best friend, shocking twists and finally, finding new love where she least expected it.

I loved this book because it had me laughing every five minutes. Lucy's sense of humour is one I've never encountered before, but her witty and inspired banter kept me amused the whole way. The storyline was also really great in that it wasn't just another boring story about some poor woman who's lost her beloved husband, re-models herself into a supermodel and then tells him where to get off when he comes crawling back before riding off into the sunset with her young, incredibly handsome new boyfriend.

There are some really good plot twists and lots of suspense- such as when she realises that her fling with heaps-younger stud Sebastian was actually a scheme Renee cooked up in order to get custody of Lucy's pretty daughter, Ruby. I LOVED the way Lucy solved this enormous, scandalous problem and the ending was most satisfactory. In conclusion, a great book :)

So you want to be a wizard

This is a magical, adventurous book. It is about a girl called Nita who has been tortured by the bullies at school. Once, when she hid in the library from those girls, she found a book that could change her life forvever. The book, at first looked just like any other normal books in the serie "So you want to be...". However, the tittle is very funny and different- So you want to be a wizard. Nita borrowed it home and soon realised that it was not a joke, it contained all the wizardry rules, skills, spells... Nita read the wizardry oath and in the next morning, she became a wizard. She could hear the plants, animals talking. Nita made friend with a boy who was also a wizard. Together, they used magic and have great adventures. They met the White Hole and use his power to revenge on the bullies in school. I think this book is very interesting, although it is too thick. However, I don't like the ideas about magic of the author, I love it ayway.

The main chracter in this book is Matilda of couse. Matilda Wormwood thinks that she has the worst parents ever. Her father Mr. Wormwood is a car seller who makes the comsumers to buy useless cars. Moreover, Mr. Wormwood and Mrs. Wormwood encourages Matilda to not read book and watch TV more often. Later on , she understands what Library is for. When she knew what a Library is, she started to read children's book as soon as possible. When she've finished the children's book she stared to get annoyed becuase her parents watches too much TV and not study. Now Matilda became a genius. Half a year after everyone else, at age five and a half, Matilda enters the Crunchem Hall Primary School. Matilda realises her talents were more than just academic. She had magical powers - she could move objects just from using her eyes, which she used as a weapon against Miss Trunchbull, her teacher
Overall, I have found out some sences were shocking and some helerious. it is really ridiculous that a young girl beats a older adults in education

MAXIMUM RIDE

The book that I read was called “Maximum Ride” the Angel Experiment. This is the first book of the Maximum Ride series. It is the story about the bird humans who has 2% of the Bird’s DNA by the scientists and they have wings to fly. In this book, they found out that they were not cloned but they were the real babies so they try to find their parents.

In the place with no humans, where those bird-humans are living, they have an adopter leaves one day. Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, the Gasman, and Angel are going to the city to find out about their parents. They thought that they were the cloned people but they weren’t. So, they try to go to London but the Erasers try to interrupt them. Erasers are the kind of monsters that tries to eliminate the Bird Humans. Unfortunately, Angel got caught from the Erasers. However, the Erasers don’t kill her but they capture her to make them come. But during this accident, they are being separated with each other. Max meets a new friend and goes to her house. After she cures some hurt after the fight with the Erasers, he goes to the place that they had promised to meet. Fortunately, she meets everyone and rescue Angel but they find out that their adopter was one of the Erasers. They go to the Cambridge and find out about their parents with the chase of Ari who’s one of the Erasers. They have a big fight with the Erasers and finally win from them and they have a conversation with their adopter. He tries to persuade them to live with him and investigate the unknown ability of Maximum Ride. However, Max refuses this and kills Ari. In the end, Max finds out that Ari was his half-brother and Max’s father is the adopter. Max gets shocked and starts to find their parents to see them.

This book was quite interesting and I loved this book. This book has many chapters with only one or two pages because they are keeping moving to show up different character. I would like to recommend this book and it’s in our school’s library.

The Absolute True DIary of a Part-time Indian

This book is about Junior Spirit, during his first year in high school. Junior lives on the Spokane Indian Reservation, where he discovers that alcohol is more important to most residents than an education is. Junior decides to transfer from his reservation school to Reardan High, a white school that is more than twenty miles away. When he arrives, he finds that he is the only Indian. His best friend on reservation, Rowdy, doesn't transfer to a new schol with Junior and he vows not to speak to Junior again, as he calls Junior "traitor". Junior also knows that everyone else on the reservation think he is a traitor.

Although Junior is stimulated by Reardan's curriculum, he must fight to improve his social standing on and off the reservation. He accidentally accomplishes this when he tries out for Reardan's basketball team. He surprises himself as he actually gets in the team and becomes a starting player. Junior's biggest challenge is that he has to play against his old school, where Rowdy - his best friend, is the star player.

How is he going to deal with this?

This is a very funny book. Find and read this book, you won't be disappointed! :)

The Thief Lord

The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke is about two children who have just lost their parents. The younger boy was about to be adapted to their aunt, but not the older boy. However, they didn’t like their aunt, so they run away to Venice. The aunt hires a detective to find the children. On the other hand, the children stay with the street kids and Scipio, who calls himself the thief lord.

The children get a request to steal a lost piece of a roundabout that can make you younger or older. While the other younger children stays in the safe place, Prosper and Scipio goes to the roundabout and Scipio gets older. At the end, the aunt adopts another child, and Prosper lives in another safe place.

This book is really interesting, and I think everyone should read it. Once you start it, you won't be able to put it back.

The Fire Thief fights back by Terry Deary

This book talks about the Greek legend. Prometheus, or Theus. He was the God that gave fire to human and he was hiding from the Avenger. Zeus gave him a task to go and find a human hero BEFORE the Avenger capture him or the Avenger would tear him apart and kill him.
Theus travelled to the future to 1785 to Eden City where in ten years time would have the Temple of Hero built there. There he met the book's author, a boy with his Ma who go arounds cities selling fake medicines. In the same time, the monsters was grouped together to try and kill Zeus.

Zeus decided to travel to the future to find Theus and ask Theus to help him fight the monsters, but Theus can't help because he's having trouble hiding from the Avenger. While they were making plans to fight monsters the Avenger and its Magnificent Seven are on the way to kill Theus and Zeus. The Magnificent Seven was the Minotaur, the Sphinx, the Python, The Ceberus, the Trymphalian Bird, Euryale the Gorgon and the Cetus. The boy the decided to go with Zeus to kill the monsters because he knew the way to kill them and Theus stayed behind.

They fought all the monsters but Theus still can't escape from Avenger.
This book is OK but it's kind of hard to follow.

Being by Kevin Brooks

This book is about a boy named Robert Smith. He was just a normal boy living a normal. He went to an endoscopy and was anethetized. Everything when wrong when he woke up in the middle of the endoscopy, naked, unable to move or talk. He heard some people talking about his inside and their was a man called Ryan. They said that his body is weird and strange and very abnormal. Then they decided to cut him open.

After they cut him open, he started to be able to move around. He grabbed Ryan's gun and made everyone moved away. He told the anethestist, Kamal, to anethestized Ryan and told the doctor to sew him up. When the doctor had sewed him up, he told Kamal to anesthetize the doctor as well and help him out of the building.

When they reached the train station, Robert left Kamal behind and went to find a girl, Eddi, who he met once. He reached her and and told her to make him a new person. New look, new ID, new name, new passport, etc. In exchange, he told her what happened to him.

They went back to the hospital so that Robert would have proof for what he told her but they found out that Kamal died. An agent called Hayes was there at the hospital and Robert took him with them back to Eddi's apartment. When they stopped at an abandoned house, Hayes tried to kill Robert when he told Eddi to go out of the car but Eddi came back just in time and killed Hayes. They knew that they have to stay with each other to get through all this.

Robert and Eddi took a flight to Tejeda, a small town in Spain and stayed there. Eddit was trying to find some informations about Ryan but nothing came up, it's like he doesn't exist.

Then they started to fall in love with each other and they thought they would spent their life their. But things started go wrong one night when they got home and felt that something had gone wrong. Ryan was there. He was able to traced them and waited for them at their apartment. There was 3 agents with him. Eddi was abled to kill 1 of them and knock 1 down but she was shot in the head by Ryan. Robert went to her and draw her blood on his face because he couldn't cry. He took her gun and killed the other agent. After he went to Ryan, cut his arm to show Ryan how fast his arm is curing. Then he hammered his fist in Ryan's head and knocked him down but Robert didn't kill him. " I wanted him to live - to live without ever knowing what I was. That was his death: to live without knowing," Robert said and went away.

I love this book, it's really exciting!

Ways to live forever

This book is like a diary, a collection of facts and questions of an eleven- years- old boy named Sam. Sam loves facts, wants to become a scientist, find an UFO, kiss a girl and be a teenager... Unfortunately, he has leukemia and cannot live longer. He has to have special schooling at home with his friend, Felix. When their teacher asked them to write things about themselves, Sam was so excited and began to write this book. Throughout the books, you can find some very moving ideas of how to live forever and the thinking of someone who cannot live forever. Sam has some very innocent, carefree questions about death and life after we died. I really love his character because he isn't sad or afraid of dying, moreover, he wants people to be happy and tell jokes in his funeral. I think this book is very nice, although the choice of language is somehow babyish and not very wide. I love it anyway and i would like to recommend it to everyone, especially whose thinking isn't very optimistic.

GOING TO WAR IN WORLD WAR ONE

Firstly, this is a great book to read even though you have studied about the "Great War" in your History lessons. The reason for this is that it tells you more about the war than your History teacher does and that it is much more fun than studying about the war in your History lessons, I guarantee you that! The reason for this is because this superb book contains informative and memorable pictures that will provide you with easy-to-comprehend information. Therefore, even if you're not a WWI fan, just come to the library and check this book out!

Once

This is an amazing book that I suggest everyone should read. The story set in 1942, during World War Two. It is about an orphan Jewish boy named Felix. Felix loves reading, as his parents are booksellers. At the beginning of the story, Felix notices that there are gangs of Nazis travelling around Poland and burning Jewish books. Desperated to save his parents' books, Felix runs away from the orphanage to go back to his family's bookstore. He begins his adventure finding his parents and finding the truth about the beliefs that he was made to believe in. During his journey, Felix accompanied with Zelda- a girl who he saved from her burnt house. Soon, Felix realizes that not only the Jewish books that the Nazis hate, they hate the Jewish people. In addition to the big shock, Felix finds out that the Nazis follow the order of Adolf Hitler- the 'saint' that he was made to admire for years.
I think this story is brilliant. Everyone deserves to have something good in their life, At least Once.

America Is Me

A story about a boy who is lost in the system and he is not worthy of looking for.
A story from E.R Frank

This story talked about a boy named America and he is homeless. The story discovers about the past of America and how he ended up being like he is now "Lost". America was put in a hospital where he has treatments with Dr. B, though, America don't usually pay much attention to Dr.B. The author uses alot of agressive cursing in the book therefore, giving a Parental Advisory rating. The story ends when he became a grown up and realize the people around him.

Mister Monday by Garth Nix

This book is about a boy called Arthur, who was supposed to die on a Monday. A part of the Will escapes, and makes Arthur become the heir of Monday. As a result, Arthur gets hold of the minute Key, but Mister Monday sends Nithlings to get Arthur. The Nithlings spread diseases over the city, so Arthur goes to the House and goes through the adventures and fights Monday. Finally, he becomes the new Monday, and cures the disease.
This book is very exciting, and it is quite different from other books because all of the adventure happens in only a day. I enjoyed reading this, and I think all of the people should read this!!

Percy Jackson- Lightning Thief

Percy Jackson series is the books that I am still reading now. Those books are really good and I strongly want to recommend them if you likes those fantasy and adventures. The book that I want to write about is the first book of the series which is ‘the Lighting Thief’.

This book is a complete fantasy story that cannot be happening in the real world at all. This is a story about a boy called Percy Jackson who’s the son of the Sea God, Poseidon. One day, Percy goes to the half-blood camp which is the camp that half human and the half god people are going. They are trained to become a true hero, but Percy, who’s the son of the big three, has a big power to attract monsters. The old prophecy says that when he becomes 16, he will have a great power to either get rid of the god or help the gods.

Few days later, Percy gets a suspicious that he stole a lighting bolt of Zeus, the greatest god’s property. So, Percy goes on a trip to find the real robbery of the lighting bolt and get out of the suspicious. On the trip, he goes with Annabeth and Grover. Annabeth is the daughter of Athena, and Grover is the satyr (a goat person).

Firstly, Percy thinks that the person who stole the lightning bolt was Hades but within some time, he discovers that Kronos asked Luke to steel the lighting bolt. Luke is the son of one of the god but father/mother of him didn’t announce him as a real son so he stayed at the Hermes’ cabinet which is the cabinet for those people like Luke.

Finally, Percy finds a lighting bolt and goes to Olympus, which is the 600th floor of the Empire State Building. Percy finishes his quest with success and the story ends.

This story was really interesting and fun because I like the way the author writes the story.

This book is on the library as well so I recommend you to borrow and read this!!

Zac Power: Swamp Race

This is a really good book because of its complex plots about how a kid saves the world just by very small steps, such as new gagets like the special type of armor which has a electric current around him, or even just a lazer whip.

The book tells a story about a boy named Zac who is sent a mission to retrieve a bunch of blue prints to a special x-ray which allows you to see through walls. Later in the story he finds out he has to compete against a enemy agent (from a company named .B.I.G.) named Caz. The two agents must race to the finish line but they both must work together or else they will die.

Saving Private Ryan

I post this last year but I don't think the blog was good enough so I wrote it again =))

I read the book and watched the movie but i don't know which came first.
The story started with the intense battle at Omaha Beachead Assualt(simply a battle).
It is a very good book. It was set during the Invasion of Normandy in World War II(2). The plot of the story is about a Private(soldier) called James Francis Ryan is lost and there was a sqad(team) looking for him. Ryan and his three brothers was in the war but sadly both his brothers has been KIA(Killed In Action). The search become more hard when they croosed over Normandy territory. The reason the commander has ordered the team to save private Ryan because of the sake of Ryan's mother(she recieved three notices in a day about the death of three brothers and a notice about Ryan being MIA or missing in action).
The team wasn't happy about this because why would we risk 8 lives for 1 but they went on the mission anyway. The team was lead by Captain John H Miller(Tom Hanks). Vin Diesel was also in the movie but sadly he was wounded by a sniper and die. The funny part in the book was when they found a soldier who was also called James Fredrick Ryan. When the captain talked about the news of his brothers and the soldier replied that they were in kindergarden.
Overall, this is a very good book, it uses a lot of military language, which was suitable.
A link to the trailer of the movie (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y1YL9C8Hfw)

The Curious Incidnet of the Dog in the Night-time :)

This book is about a 15-year-old autistic boy whose name is Christopher Boone. Christopher is a genius at Maths. He loves prime numbers. He hates yellow and he would never eat anything that is yellow.. Christopher was told by his father-Ed Bonne that his mother has died long ago, so he now lived with his father.

He decided to investigate the dog's death, despite his father's order to stay out of other people's business. Through his adventures, he decided to record his experiences in a book called " a murder mystery novel." During this investigation, he met peple who he has never encountered, including people who lived on the same street as him.
Ed, Christopher's father has found out about the book, so he hid it from Christopher, after a fight going on between them. Looking for the book that his father had hidden, Christopher has discovered a trove of letters which his mother wrote to him, dated after her supposed death, which means that his father has lied to him about Mother's death.
Why did Father lied to him? Does it mean Mother is still alive? Who killed Wellington??
If you want to know then well, read the book!! It's a really good book and I Love It! :)

KISS

This book was written by Jacqueline Wilson. Jacqueline Wilson’s book was quite interesting and fun and this was in my expectation.

This book is a story about two friends who used to play with each other since they were very young and their friendships begins to break up. Do they going to recover their friendships?

Sylvie and Carl, who are the best friends, they played for a long time and call each other girl friend and boy friend and they have their own story that they wish to publish this book. They act those stories to make a smooth story but since those stories were made since they were young, those stories are too childish for them as they are teenagers.

As they grow up and up, they begin to change as they try to make other close friend. Carl tries to make a new friend called Paul, who’s good at sports and Sylvie try to have another friend called Miranda who’s a rich girl with many friends. One day, Carl, Paul, Miranda and Sylvie go bowling and Sylvie is jealous with Paul as they are quite close each other. Sylvie’s friend, Miranda tries to know many things about Carl and come to Carl and Sylvie’s glass house. Glass house was the secret play of Carl and Sylvie since they were young and they kept a lot of reminiscences on there. On Carl’s birthday, Miranda gives him a present of the glass toy which Carl loves a lot. Miranda invites Sylvie to her house and they get closer to each other.

One day, Sylvie, Carl, Miranda and Paul went somewhere together and they are separated into Carl and Paul, Sylvie, and Miranda. The day after, there was a big accident as the glass house is collapsed and Carl gets little bit of injury. Sylvie and Miranda take care of Carl carefully and Sylvie realizes their friendship. Sylvie and Carl realize that they really love each other and end their fantasy story with this. ‘And King Carlo and Queen Sylviana will always live together and love each other.’

This book had quite interesting story and I liked this story as they are best friends.

This book is in the library so you can borrow here

Twilight Sucks

Twilight is one of the worst saga in human history, because it is to predictable and the villians are'nt much of bad guys because of there crazy ideas such as drinking bellas blood and drinking bellas blood. She isn't the only human in the book.
It has people wondering what happen when they already knows what will happen.
The book shows a bad influnece to small children who read this book ,such as my very small sister. The book discribes the bad things about blood, suiside and things which shouldn't say.

The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan

This is the third book of Percy Jackson & the Olympians. Percy Jackson is a half-blood – half human, half god, whose father is Poseidon. This year is the third year being a camper in Camp Half-Blood, where the half-bloods get trained for the real life. Grover, his friend satyr, makes an urgent call to Percy, Annabeth and Thalia telling that he found two powerful half-bloods, so they are on the way.

When they reach there, they find not only the half-bloods, but also falls into the trap which Kronos, the Titan lord hoping to overthrow the Olympians, set up. As a result, they lose Annabeth and return to Camp Half-Blood.

With the Hunters they met when they lost Annabeth, Percy goes onto a quest to find Artemis and Annabeth, while preventing the fall of Olympians. When they reach there, they find out that the sky is under Artemis, not Atlas. They go on a fight against Atlas and the army of Kronos, and manage to make Atlas go back to his place.

I found this book quite interesting, especially the part where it says that the Gods of Olympus are still alive. The story matches perfectly into the real life, making me think that the story is true. The story moves fast, making your hands go wet. Once I started it, I couldn’t put it down. I think everybody should read it!!!!!!!!!

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes

*By Sir Arthur Conan Doyle*

The book "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" is a complete edition of all-time released Sherlock Holmes' stories and adventures. When I started to read this book, I didn't expect it to be interesting for me as I was never that kind of detective fan. But as I started reading through the chapters, my passion for book genres has changed a little. This book of Sherlock Holmes completely dragged me inside its stories, keeping me there, till 30 pages were read at least. Each of the story was totally unique, leaving in me different feeling after each read story. After each story, I kept on being surprised how Sherlock Holmes, with his companion Doctor Watson, solved unsolvable mysteries. But, of course, unsolvable only from our point of look. I would recommend this book to everyone, especially then to adults as sometimes, I had to read some of the stories twice and occasionally thrice as they were really difficult to understand. So as I have just written, if you are above the age of 13, sometimes 14 years, I would warmly recommend this book to you.

The Godfather- Part 1.

The Godfather is a crime book which was written by an American Author called Mario Puzo. It was published in 1969 and attracted a lot of success and awards. It tells a story about 4 Mafia families living in eastern America who hated each other so much that no one in each family could talk about the tradition, value and background to the others. This is called " Omno Fostro"-The rule of silence.

Going deeper into the book, there was a family who had a father called Don Vito Corleone, who was respected and treated like a monarch. This is because in a mafia family's tradition the leader or father, if you like, has to be at the top, so therefore, all the power and things he has done have to be succeded by his son/daughter. Don Vito Corleone had a son called Michael, who engaged to an American woman called Kay Adams, and the wedding between two took place successfully with a lot of relatives and other people involved. Corleone's counterpart, Luca Brasi also joined the wedding. Brasi was a man who was always seen to be an unemotional, cold, massive- skulled with a lot of cunnings and tricks. He looked squat, small in appearance like Charlie Chaplin and a lip with a lifeless, pale veal colour. Don Corleone sometimes said that he was still afraid of his appearance when someone mentions about Luca. So, after the wedding finished, Corleone invited Brasi to his room to talk about businesses between two people. Like the book has said, Corleone was the "king" of the family, so Brasi, after talking to him, had to hug him in a nice, respectful way and kiss loyal, admiring kiss on his hand. Then, Brasi went out of his car and went home.
This book actually has 3 parts in total. However, if I summarise all details of the book it would be very long. So next week I will write about part 2 and tell you more exciting details. Even though I have just read one part of the book, I really like it. The plot is believable, logical and authentic. The characters in the book seem to act professionally. There is a film version of the novel so I would like you to buy a DVD and watch it. Thank you.

Wolf Island (Book 8 of The Demonata Series)

If you haven't already known, this series is all about demons, werewolves, and magic. Personally, I like this series very much.
Firstly, I like it because I love the cliff-hangings-I think every good book must have cliff-hangings that leaves the reader hungry for more-and this author provides and excellent source which will leave you glued in your seat and hungry for more...
I also like this book because of all the actions-I prefer books with lots of actions. There are a lot of killing demons and being killed by demons. The author has a great imagination on how to describe the demons as horrendous creatures and magic as a great aspect of life and how it could ruin a person's life. (Just like Grubbs)
Unfortunately, the only thing I don't like about this series is that it isn't scary. Don't believe the back cover when it says "Warning: This book is extremely scary" or something similar to that. This book's genre is more like action.
And now, I'm going to fill you in about the plot. The plot of Wolf Island is as followed...
The werewolf curse of the Gradys are returning with a vengeance and it is stealing Grubbs Grady's humanity. In Wolf Island, Grubbs and his allies will venture into an island full of werewolves called "Wolf Island" in order to find the connection between The Lambs and The Shadow. The journey is full of peril and Death is never out of reach. Can Grubbs come out alive with his humanity intact? Read the book for more...

The Ashleys

The Ashleys
Melissa de la Cruz

The Ashleys got everything. Looks, money and popularity. They rule Ms Gamble's Preparatory School for Girls. The reason why they are all called The Ashleys is because the 3 girls are all named Ashley; Ashley Spencer, Ashley Alioto (A.A), Ashley Li (Lili). Lauren Page has gone to the same school with them all time and she remembers how they bullied her everyday since prekindergarten. But Lauren has totally changed. You can name it a makeover. A 500 dollar haircut along with her shiny new Chanel spectator oxfords. Lauren's plan is to get along with The Ashleys and destroy them. Slowly. Look out Ashleys, there's a new name in school. Enjoy!

---

I really LOVE The Ashleys series. Its just like reading 11 year olds, just like you, behaving like girls from 90210. And yes, Lauren does become one of The Ashleys, but not for long. At the end of the book, there is an unexpected twist. This book is full of surprises. And if you like reading Gossip Girl, you might want to read this book! Basically, all books by Melissa de la Cruz are AWESOME. Totally addictive.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

this book is boring because the films is SO much better because the film is easier to imagine what to think and creates more suspension. This is my opinion if you want to argue that book are better than film I'm free at 6pm to 7pm. All Harry Potter fans may disagree but I think Harry Potter book are boring because I hate wizardry, I don't know why, I just do. By the way the movie also sucks because the 6th one (I think ) was the best out of the rest.

BEWARE KILLER TOMATOES

This book is writen by Jeremy strong. I've read this book in a day and I still enjoy it.
This book is about a young boy called Jack, he is having his days in the hospital and he got bored of sitting in the bed and look outside the window. One day he finally was able to get out of the hospital! But not for long! haha poor Jack. His families were taking care of him and he was nearly dead because he was soooooo bored. One night at about 3:00am he couldn't sleep because a girl called Kirtsty was talking to her self by changing her voice and it was helerious.
I loved reading this book and i liked the title of every chapter because it started with the letter "HOW" e.g. how to not score a goal. I how you can have a try and read it it's awesome!

The curious incident of the dog in the night time :D

Author: Mark Haddon

Christopher, the main character, discovered the dead body of his neighbour's dog speared by a garden fork and decided to investigate the dog's death. He decided to write a book about it, a "murder mystery novel". His father found out about the book and hide it. When Christopher tried to find the book, he found out that his father lied about his mother's death. And it's his father who killed the dog when he was angry with Mrs. Shears, Wellington's owner.

Christopher lost trust in his father and flew to London to find his mother, who is now living with Mr.Shears. When Christopher arrived, his mother was very happy and she couldn't believe that his father told Christopher that she was dead.

Christopher wanted to return to Swindon to take his maths A-level test and his mother left Mr.Shears because of the argument over Christopher. His father tried to be friend with him but Christopher was still very terrified of his father.

I think that this book is very interesting and everyone should read it..!!!

Angel Uncovered

Angel Uncovered is a really fantastic book written by Katie Price. The story isn't in first person but the entire book is from Angel's perspective. So who is Angel?

Angel Summer is Britain's top glamour model, and to the outside world she has it all. She's young, rich, beautiful, married to superstar footballer Cal and has just given birth to a gorgeous daughter, Honey. But appearances can be deceiving and Angel's life is anything but perfect.

After having Honey, Angel feels like she hasn't bonded with her daughter, which leads to her feeling like an inadequate mother. Her husband Cal is transferred to Italy but Angel is reluctant to leave England, which causes a rift between them.

Angel discovers she has post-natal depression but when she tries to talk to Cal about it he dismisses her and accuses her of lying. After a mostly innocent night with another sports star, Cal then proceeds to accuse Angel of cheating; Angel returns to England a total mess.

When she overdoses on painkillers, she awakens in hospital. Cal has seen the light and is bent on fulfilling all her desires and for six months life is happy for Angel. She is then informed that CAL had cheated on HERand is enraged but eventually forgives Cal...until it is discovered that it was not only a one-night stand but a long affair. The situation is worsened when the press catch wind of the story.

Eventually, Angel realises that the man she truly loves is Ethan, the baseball star she spent the night with. So she goes back to him. Score one for Angel!
***
I loved this book. I thought it was brilliantly written and the plot was so real and the feelings so genuine I felt like I was right there. But I felt so frustrated reading the parts where Cal treated Angel like dirt and she just stood there and took it; I was like he has no right to be so rude! But I suppose she wasn't really in any position to stand up to him, given the whole post-natal depression thing. However, I suppose that's how I know it's a great book- it elicited reactions from me, I actually cared about what happened to Angel.

I thought it was a bit weird though how Angel knew she was madly in love with Ethan when they spent less than a week together, total. But I was still glad when she chose him over Cal, I don't think Cal deserved her and I'm pleased that she moved on with her life as opposed to wasting it by his side.

Go Angel!

Pretty Little Liars- Unbelieveable

In sincere little Rosewood, no one would ever expect the most sought after girl, the one with the flowing blond hair, the perfect smile and the perfect life, would hold the worst secrets.

Hanna, Spencer, Emily and Aria were her best friends and shared all their secrets with Ali DiLaurentis.

One cold night is memorable in the girls mind. That dark night when Ali DiLaurentis went missing.

Four years down the line these four unfortunate friends start receiving text messages from me, and you know what? I know all their secrets, ALL of them. And you would never believe what these naughty little girls get up to. Aria is secretly in love with her English teacher, Emily is questioning her sexuality, Spencer has gotten nominated for the Golden orchid, the highest English award in the country, and the nominated essay was the one which she stole of her sister. And Hanna? Well, lets just say she had a little accident. She knew to much so I had to do something or she would ruin all my fun. Yeah, i made a little mistake, sending it with my original number but I'm a very busy bee, very busy tormenting four mischievous teens. So I have an excuse.

And you know what the best part is? They don't have a clue who I am. There is a new A in town.

____________________________________________________________________

I LOVE this book. These books are the books I turn to when I need gossip and drama. Because you have to admit, everyone needs some juicy gossip one in a while and believe me, this is where you should look for it. I love the fact that A knows everything. Ones one of the girls do something wrong, A immediately send them a text, She is watching them ALL the time. My favourite text was when Hanna, in the last book got hit by a car that A was driving, and the text they all got was a chilling "she knew too much -A". I Love how the author made the stalker's trademark A. because when you are reading the book you are constantly looking for the someone with the letter A in it. but the problem is there are TONS! SO you are constantly guessing. In This book you find out who A is, but shh I wont tell ;)

Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire

1st post on the blog =)) (until mr. jaques came and make me edit it)

This is the 4th book of JK Rowling famous Harry Potter

This is the episode when Harry was chosen for Triwizard Tournament (three students from three magical school like Hogwarts)

The competitors from Hogwarts was Cedric Diggory and Harry was also chosen(mysteriously!). Harry was underage and didn't submit his name in the Goblet Of Fire and it was thought to be magically blocked. You just have to read the book to know it.

It is a very good book, we also have many people die (i.e Cedric Diggory) and we found more about Harry's past. You just have to read the book to know it.
